A Pair of Love birds
Our story began in 2008, when two teenagers from different high schools met at a church trip helping hurricane victims in Florida. From that moment on, we’ve been inseparable—high school sweethearts turned lifelong partners, married in 2019. Adventure has always been our love language, whether it’s chasing sunsets in national parks, stamping our passports, or simply road-tripping with our dogs by our side.
Doves first entered our lives in an unexpected way—through a chance conversation while fishing. What started as curiosity became something deeply meaningful when we experienced the beauty of dove releases at both joyful and heartbreaking family moments. Those experiences showed us the peace, hope, and love that doves carry. So when the opportunity came to continue Joe and Cindy’s legacy, we jumped in with both feet, ready to share that same gift with others.
Passing of the torch
Life’s Doves was built on love, dedication, and the gentle hands of Joe and Cindy. For years, they poured their hearts into raising their flock and sharing the beauty of dove releases with families during life’s most meaningful moments. From weddings and anniversaries to memorials and community events, their doves became symbols of joy, peace, and hope.
Our own connection began in a simple way—through a fishing conversation with Joe. What started as curiosity grew into admiration as we witnessed firsthand the comfort and beauty that Joe and Cindy brought into people’s lives. When we hired them for both a wedding and a funeral in our own family, we truly understood the depth of what they had created.
When the time came for Joe and Cindy to pass the torch, it wasn’t just a business decision—it was a trust, a legacy, and an invitation to continue something meaningful. Kate and I felt called to step forward, to honor the foundation they built, and to share that same peace with others. Today, every release we do carries not only our story, but theirs too—woven together in a tradition of love, remembrance, and new beginnings
